External Scholarships

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is partnering with Café Bustelo® to award twenty-five $5,000 El Café del Futuro Scholarships. Since 2014, $680,000 in scholarship funds have been awarded to more than 100 Hispanic students nationwide through the partnership.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) empowers students and parents with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete a higher education, while providing support services and scholarships to as many exceptional students, HSF Scholars and Alumni as possible.

To date, more than $33 million in McDonald’s HACER® National Scholarships have been awarded to Hispanic students across the country. The McDonald’s HACER® National Scholarship Program offers scholarships up to 30 outstanding Hispanic students from all over the country, and continues to provide educational opportunities to help narrow the gap that exists for Hispanic college-bound students, further reinforcing McDonald’s long-standing commitment to feeding and fostering the diverse communities it serves

Lack of funds is one of the most challenging reasons facing Hispanic students pursuing their degrees. So SHPE offers thousands of reasons to ensure their members DO reach graduation – over a million to be exact. With 346 scholarships totaling over $1,800,000 awarded last year, SHPE is actively narrowing the gap in the Hispanic STEM education pipeline.

Minimum requirements for all scholarships are as follows:

  • Active SHPE Member (Join here)
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.5 (This is a cumulative GPA as listed on the transcript of your latest academic institution.)
  • Plan to pursue a STEM degree
  • Plan to enroll at an accredited two-year or four-year college/university for the 2024-2025 academic year in the United States
