SHPEtinas will be hosting monthly dialogue sessions for all students in STEM. Light refreshments will be provided.
March Topic: Gender Bias in the Classroom
Dialogue: Open floor to share and listen to Hispanic/Latinx women's experiences in STEM.
Ground Rules:
- Respect the people sharing and reserve judgement on ideas/beliefs.
- Recognize complexity within the topics.
- Be authentic with yourself.
- Reflect and be open to change.
- Take breaks when needed.
- Refrain from interruption and rude remarks.
Agenda:
Opening (15 mins): Introductions, Ground Rules, Lead Speaker Experience
Guided Questions (40 mins): 1-3 questions on monthly topic.
Transition (20 mins): Highlight future ways to reaffirm and be an ally in the upcoming month.
Closing (15 mins): Identify three key points from the dialogue.
